19th lesson = God's Purpose in loving the Human Being

Writing our Resume based on the Lord Jesus’ Resume.

 

Once we know Jesus as our Lord and Savior, there is no reason to pretend that we do love; because the Love now lives within us. And when Love lives within us we no longer love evil; and yes, we learn to hate evil and cling to the good, to do good to others as Jesus treats everyone with love.

Jesus teaches us to love cordially with fraternal love and always treat each other with this honor. It is common to see that caring for others is leisure when we do not have God in our lives. The Fervor in our spirit is ascended when the Holy Spirit is our Counselor, Our Guide. Everyone can be happy when there is hope, but the apostle goes on to teaching that we should be patient in tribulation. God always comes to us to solve our situation. In Romans 12 the lesson is that we should bless those who persecute us, bless, and curse not. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who are weeping. We must be unanimous among the brethren not aspire high things, but to accommodate us to the humble, and not be wise in ourselves. This with certainty is impossible if we try with our efforts to try to live like this. We need Jesus as our assistant to live this way. God does not require us to be able to live like this without him. God teaches his Church through Paul not to render anyone evil for evil. Our goal should be to seek the honest things towards all men.

 

God knows that is not always possible to have peace with all people, and he teaches us: “Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Rom. 12:17-21.

 

You and I have no conditions and no ability to live this way on our own efforts and we need God to enable us to do so. And God empowers us, through Jesus Christ we are more than conquerors.

Perfect Model In Christ.

Paul teaches about the Perfect Model.

 "But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work"- 2 Tim. 3:14-17.

 

Paul says be my imitators, as I also am of Christ. It is very important to want to be the same as Master, and we should all have this desire. But, be the same as the Master implies also to pay the price he paid. We see that Jesus was rejected in his life here on earth, he was beaten and publicly attacked, and they whipped him and attacked him, and they also crucified Him. Jesus was bruised for all of us Jesus, and He suffered for all of them too. Now Paul addresses the Church saying: that we should continue in what we have learned and have become convinced of. He says we know whom we have learned it from; and that from infancy on we have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. There is only one way, and Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Paul goes on admonishing them saying: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. There is a very high and profound truth in this teaching; a purpose to be lived in “God is Love”, in this life that we are learning how to live.

Jesus was literally pressed in the Garden Gethsemane, as an olive is pressed when the olive oil is extracted from it. The real and substantial oil, we obtain when the olives are squeezed out in the press. Many people desire the glory, but they do not want to pay the price to achieve it. We see that the deeper life with God is found in the desert and through the Garden of Gethsemane. Do you know why this happens this way? A human does not need to appeal to the High Power, when everything is easy at his disposal. In the desert, that is, when life seems like a desert, and we cannot achieve anything with our own method, that is when the supernatural power of our God steps in to transform us. The human being only searches for God when he is abandoned and at the end of his rope, when all natural resources are gone, then there is still God to call upon yet fall back on God.  The Dictionary says: If you fall back on something, you do it or use it after other things have failed. When necessary, instinct is the most reliable resource you can fall back on.

The Human beings only seeks God when he is at the end of the rope and on his own; when natural resources become extinguished, than the best source is God. Observe the life of Moses between 40 and 80 years of age. How many times did he climb Mount Horeb to meet God there? My awareness of the fact is that the Bible does not report that he has sought God on the mountain at this time of his life. He went there when he was with the people in the desert, for it was impossible to get the necessary things for his people, as it was in Egypt where they lived before.

Before he had access to everything they needed; like food, bath, and a place to live for family and his sheep and so on. There are no reports that God appears to Moses at this time of his life as it says afterwards there in the desert. Moses learned how to seek God in the desert. He had his start up when he saw the fire in the bush which did not consume. You and I will only have a deeper life, as life forces us to survive in the wilderness, because than we are kind of obliged to seek God or die. I believe God wants us all to have the desire to seek HIM before we get into the desert. The press of the mill, which extracts the oil from the olives and the desert are two excellent tools that God uses to transform his people into loving people, just as "God is Love". The essence of our being is brought forth when we are in the press of life, so that we can experience the phase of a Perfect Man in Christ; it is necessary to be broken in the hand of the potter (Jer. 18).

It becomes necessary that each of us surrender and gives himself to God. The press is shown in our life when we live in circumstances in which we are obliged to let go of something; because of our love for God. In the garden when Jesus prayed he said to his Father in Heaven: "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done" - Luke. 22:42; it was this time that the person of Jesus was pressed. It was there that "the Man Jesus" gave up everything he wanted as a human being and that He was entitled to, and he chose the will of his Father who is in heaven. The higher we climb the mountain, the more we will have to sacrifice for the love of God. Moses was forced to sacrifice a lot for the sake of God and his work. Very few people who have the mental, physical and spiritual strength and energy to reach the top of the mountain where Moses climbed up to.

If you examine the life of Moses, he was already at the age of elder when God called him to serve, in Acts 7:23,30 it is described. When he visited his brothers he was 40 years of age and Stephen says that after forty years, when the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a burning bush in the desert. "When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his fellow Israelites. "After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai.”  - Acts 7.

Moses was 80 years of age when God told him to go and lead His people out of Egypt. Moses at that point in his life probably thought of having a beautiful retirement, relax and enjoy the last years of his life. But to be in the will of his God, it was necessary to sacrifice the peaceful life and its leisure. He did not climb only physically the mountain, but spiritually as well. The more we become intimate with our God, the higher we will climb the ladder of relationship with God. I declare this for the fact that at age 40 while he visiting his brothers; if he would have had the maturity of the desert, he would have gone up the mountain to pray instead of killing the Egyptian. We learn from our failures and mistakes when we are new in faith, yes. Everyone makes mistakes, but God gives us the grace to learn to seek Him, in order to attain wisdom. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, this is the teaching that Paul gave to Timothy and it is for us as well.  Because, he says, you know those from whom you learned it. Paulo reminds him that since he was small he had known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make the person wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. You and I should receive this advice of Paul for our lives as well. God also wants us to be perfect and perfectly instructed for every good work.  (2 Tim. 3:14-17.)

It is necessary to continue in what we have learned and we were acquainted and see who we learn from to walk in the Word of our God. It was in the hours that Jesus climbed the mountain to pray that he interceded for you and me. It was on Calvary He reached Eternal Life for all who believe in him. Jesus taught many valuable lessons during his life, and all of them are precious and important. But if Jesus had not gone to Calvary he would have not been able to give the human being eternal life that he came to prepare for everyone. In practice of everyday’s life we learn to be a person of integrity, caring for our neighbor and emptying us from ourselves as Christ did.

Jesus Christ conquered eternal life for us on the cross when He died for us. Jesus was the point of giving his life for our life. To have eternal life, he gave his earthly life as a sacrifice. It was not during the three years of his ministry that he won eternal life for you and me, but it was on Calvary.
